The Internet Security Law of the People’s Republic of China Officially Launched with a Clear Emphasis on Strengthening the Protection of the IP Rights of Internet Technology
China recently issued an important Internet regulation statute -- the Internet Security Law of the People’s Republic of China. Article 16 specifically provides that measures should be taken to strength the protection of the IP rights of Internet technology.
Article 16 of the Internet Security Law imposes specific requirements for the strengthening of the protection of IP rights in Internet technology. The State Council as well as governments at the provincial, autonomous regional and municipal levels should formulate comprehensive plans to increase their investment into upholding key industries and projects involving Internet security technology, R&D support, the development and application of Internet security technology, the promotion of safe and reliable Internet products and services, the protection of the IP rights of Internet technology and the support of participation by businesses, research institutes and universities in national Internet security technology innovation projects.
