National Copyright Administration Publishes 13th Five-Year Plan for Copyright Work
The National Copyright Administration recently published the 13th Five-Year Plan for Copyright Work (hereinafter the “Plan”). The Plan proposes 26 key tasks in four areas targeted for improvement -- the copyright law system, the copyright administrative management system, the copyright community service system and the copyright foreign-related work system. These tasks specifically include continuing promotion of further amendments to the Copyright Law, strengthened copyright law enforcement and supervision, continuing promotion of copyrighted software, optimization of community copyright management, consolidated copyright publicity and training programs, and promotion of the establishment of new types of win-win relationships in international copyright cooperation. Furthermore, these tasks cover various subtopics including copyright creation, application, protection, management and services. The Plan also provides that specific indicators -- such as the number of registered works around the country, the number of registered computer software copyrights and the number of established exemplary copyrights around the country -- should serve as basic support for copyrights.
