On February 7^th, 2017, the China Trademark Office of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce published a statistics chart on its official website for trademark applications and registrations in all provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities. According to the statistics, from December 16^th, 2015 to December 15^th, 2016, the total number of domestic trademark applications (including applications in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan) reached 3,526,827 and the total number of registered trademarks reached 2,119,032. Among them, the three provinces/municipalities with the largest numbers of trademark applications are: Guangdong Province (689,434), Beijing (372,387) and Zhejiang (327,572. The three provinces/municipalities with the largest numbers of trademark registrations are: Guangdong Province (410,207), Beijing (213,587) and Zhejiang (193,348). According to the statistics, the present total number of valid trademark registrations in China is 11,143,475.
