National Copyright Administration Publishes First 2017 Warning List for Key Copyright Protections
In accordance with the Opinions of the Office of the National Copyright Administration on Further Consolidating the Copyright Regulation of Works Disseminated on the Internet, the key regulatory work plan formulated by the National Copyright Administration, and the authorization acquisition conditions reported by relevant websites, the National Copyright Administration published its first 2017 warning list for key copyright protections. The relevant websites must institute the following measures to support the key tasks identified in the copyright protection warning list: (i) websites directly providing content shall not upload any work identified in the warning list without authorization; (ii) websites whose content is uploaded by users shall prohibit their users from uploading any work identified in the warning list; (iii) websites providing search links shall only provide search results and linking services that are directed to websites with legitimate authorizations; and (iv) e-commerce websites and application platforms shall expedite their processing of notices on the deletion of infringing content or disconnection of infringing links from works identified in the warning list.
