The INTA annual meeting was brought to a successful close on May 25, 2016. W&B, an INTA member, was located at Booths 1108-1110 on the main venue of the Orange County Convention Centre from May 21 to May 25, 2016.

In recent years, W&B has won acclaim among its peers for its thriving IP-related practice, including its trademark agency services. In 2015 W&B added four cases to its pool of “Typical IP Cases” as selected by the regional Higher People’s Courts and civil IP research organizations, to add to its “Hearthstone” copyright and unfair competition case that was selected in 2014. The four cases include a trademark infringement case in defense of rights owner Uniqlo against UL (which case was also named a “2015 Top 10 innovative IP case for the Judicial Protection of IP Rights” by the Beijing Higher People’s Court); the geographical indicator infringement case “West Lake LONGJING”(both of the foregoing cases were also named “Top 10 Landmark Cases for Judicial Protection” by the Shanghai Higher People’s Court); and the online game The Six Schools, an unfair competition and copyright infringement dispute in protection of famous Chinese author Jin Yong (also named a “Top 10 Landmark case for Judicial Protection” by the Shanghai Higher People’s Court).
