W&B Provides TOTO China with Training on Anti-Monopoly and Anti-Commercial Bribery Measures

   In July 2015 at the invitation from TOTO (China) Co., Ltd., W&B Partner Xiaosu Zhu provided a legal training program for TOTO’s directors and employees through out China. The training focused on anti-monopoly and anti-commercial bribery issues.

 

     TOTO (China) Co., Ltd. is an investment company that is wholly owned by the world’s top sanitary equipment manufacturer, TOTO LTD. The company has established seven factories, seven offices and 300 sales outlets inChina. TOTO provides high-quality sanitary products to its consumers, and it attaches great importance to legal compliance matters. During the training program, Mr. Zhu provided an introduction to the latest Chinese anti-monopoly law enforcement trends by citing the recent Benz price-fixing case and the “abuse of a dominant market position” case filed by Yunnan Yingding against Sinopec. He also elaborated on commercial bribery issues and legal implications that might arise during companies’ routine operations, and he reminded the audience of applicable precautionary measures. Afterwards, Mr. Zhu led a vigorous and well-received discussion with TOTO’s directors and employees on issues that they actually encountered during business operations.
