Watson & Band Again Listed in 2021 ALB China IP Rankings
On May 24, the high-end legal magazine under Thomson Reuters – Asian Legal Business published its 2021 ALB China IP Rankings. Watson & Band is again recognized as a Tier 2 firm in both “Patent” and “Trademark/Copyright” areas for its professional services, good reputation and outstanding performance in the intellectual property area.

Throughout the years Watson & Band has been presenting excellence in both contentious and non-contentious practices in patents, trademarks and copyrights areas. We have been taking the lead on the IP rankings of various well-known legal ranking agencies. This year, three of our IP rights enforcement cases have been selected as typical cases by local higher or intermediate courts.
In January, the cross-class trademark enforcement case that our Partner Joe Liu and his team represented for the World Trade Center Association Inc. is selected into the “Typical Cases of Strengthened Judicial Protection for IP Rights in Zhejiang Courts in 2020” by the Zhejiang Province Higher People's Court.
In April, the invention patent infringement case that our Partner Jianguo Huang and his team represented for the rights holder was selected into the Supreme People's Court's Annual Report on IP Cases (2020).
Also in April, the trademark infringement and unfair competition case that our Partner Joe Liu and his team represented for the rights holder against a pneumatic equipment company and an automation equipment company in Shanghai, along with two individuals, was selected into the “Top 10 IP Cases in Wenzhou in 2020”.
