Recently, the 2017 General Assembly of the Shanghai Women Lawyers Society, also presented as a readers’ meeting for the “Women Lawyers’ Poetic Life” series, was held at the Pullman Hotel in Jing’an District, Shanghai. W&B Senior Partner Fang Tan and two senior attorneys, Fangfang Gui and Xiaoya Zhai, were invited to the Assembly.

The General Assembly of the Shanghai Women Lawyers Society was undoubtedly one of the highlights of this event. Mr. Weifeng Yu, President of the Shanghai Lawyers Association and Ms. Rong Li, Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Women’s Federation, attended the Assembly and addressed the attendees. These speakers reviewed the achievements of the past and extended their best wishes for 2017 to the women lawyers. Ms. Fuwen Zou, Vice President of the Shanghai Lawyers Association and Chairman of the Shanghai Women Lawyers Society, presented the 2016 Work Report and the 2017 Work Plan for the Shanghai Women Lawyers Society.

Awards were granted to the Top 10 lecturers from the Anti-Domestic Violence Legal Publicity Lecturers Group, and certificates were issued to the lecturers group for the Law Popularization Action by Women Lawyers, which is one of the Women’s Federation’s “Seventh Five-Year Plan” law popularization activities. W&B attorneys Fangfang Gui and Xiaoya Zhai were elected to the lecturers group and received certificates of honor.
