On the afternoon of January 13, Shanghai Intellectual Property Services Association (the “Association”) held its first Annual Meeting, also the awarding ceremony for the year 2019, in the conference hall on the 5^th floor of Shanghai Science and Technology Innovation Center. Watson & Band Law Offices, Watson & Band IP Agent Ltd., as the vice chairman member, were invited to attend the meeting.

The Annual Meeting, entitled “Hand in Hand with IP Rights to Serve the Future”, invited President of Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration, Mr. Wenbiao Rui to deliver a speech. Mr. Rui spoke highly of the achievements that the Association made in the past year. The Association’s Chairman, Mr. Xitang Xie, also reviewed the key projects in 2019 and presented an outlook into the coming year.

According to the assessment standard approved at the 9^th session of the Association’s First Council, four awards including the Outstanding Contribution Award, the Excellent Lecturer Award, the Excellent Member Award and the Special Talent Award, were elected through secret ballot of the Council. The awarding ceremony for these awards was held at the Annual Meeting.

Watson & Band Law Offices received the Outstanding Contribution Award and Watson & Band IP Agent Ltd. received the Excellent Member Award, respectively.

Meanwhile, Watson & Band’s Senior Founding Partner, Mr. Shenmin Xu, and Vice General Manager of Watson & Band IP Agent., Mr. Yingcong Xu, both received the Excellent Lecturer Award.
