Watson & Band Managing Partner Attends the CCG EXPO 2019 Business Conference Summit Forum and Shares Practical Insights
On the morning of July 3rd, the “15th China International Cartoon & Game Expo” (CCG EXPO 2019) Business Conference Summit Forum was grandly held at the Intercontinental Shanghai Expo. Watson & Band Managing Partner, Mr. Frank Qian, was invited to attend the Forum’s “Newly Emerging Forces” distinctive project roadshow and business cooperation conference. Mr. Qian shared his practical insights on intellectual property protection in the animation industry as the prelude to the roadshow.
Firstly, Mr. Qian introduced the current scale of the animation industry and state of its legal disputes. He revealed the fact that intellectual property disputes currently account for an overwhelming percentage among the various legal disputes in the industry, and also pointed out the importance and strategic value of intellectual property protection.

Afterwards, Mr. Qian spoke about legal protection for the animation industry. From the original production of intellectual property in upstream industries, to the investment and operation of works in midstream industries, to the derivative development of games or merchandise in downstream industries, Mr. Qian gave a summary of the legal protection system for the entire animation industry, bringing inspirations to and triggering thoughts among the attendees.
