Watson & Band is pleased to announce a series of victories at the Shanghai Intellectual Property Service Industry Association (SIPSIA) 2024 Annual Meeting, held on June 30, 2025.

Watson & Band Intellectual Property Agency Ltd was recognized for both individual technical brilliance and organizational excellence in talent development, taking home multiple top-tier awards.

• Dominating the IP Skills Competition

Watson & Band’s patent team demonstrated exceptional technical capability at the 3rd Shanghai IP Service Practical Skills Competition. Three of our patent attorneys were honored for their expertise in drafting complex patent applications:

• Qiu Guo: Won First Prize in Patent Drafting (Electrical Group).

• Zhang Beilei: Won Third Prize in Patent Drafting (Mechanical Group).

• Yu Jingxue: Won Third Prize in Patent Drafting (Chemical & Pharmaceutical Group).

Additionally, for the third time, Watson & Band was presented with the "Excellent Organization Award," recognizing the firm's consistent leadership and active participation in elevating industry standards.

The association also highlighted Watson & Band’s outstanding internal training programs. In 2024, numerous staff members successfully passed the National Legal Qualification Examination, the Patent Attorney Qualification Examination, and the Intermediate Intellectual Property Professional  certification.
