Watson & Band Hosts Latest Session of China Law Salon: Issue Analysis and Dispute Resolution for Enterprise Labor Employment Management
On February 24th 2017, Watson & Band hosted the first 2017 session of the China Law Salon. This opening lecture concerned issue analysis and dispute resolution for enterprise labor employment management. The speaker, Mr. Li Huaping, an attorney for W&B, lectured on this topic to over fifty client invitees from law firms and enterprises.

The lecture included five sections: recruitment and employment management, execution and performance of labor contracts, amendment of labor contracts, cancellation and termination of labor contracts, and the handling and resolution of labor disputes. With current labor demand entering a peak period just as legal awareness is improving among both enterprises and employees, labor disputes are on the rise. With ample professional experience, Mr. Li enlivened the lecture with vivid language and presented the topic from perspectives of legal provisions, judicial practice and enterprise operations. He also interpreted legal provisions and proposed strategies for dispute resolution on key issues such as the execution and amendment of labor contracts, penalizing rule violations and delinquent employees, solutions to ill employee absenteeism and calculating the appropriate periods of medical treatment, which are points of interest for both employers and employees.
