Watson & Band’s Managing Partner Frank Qian Attends the Theme Training on the Sharing Economy Business Models and Delivers a Lecture on Corporate Compliance under the Sharing Economy
On the afternoon of May 10th, the theme training entitled “Compliance Paints behind Sharing Economy Business Models incl. ofo and airbnb” and jointly held by the Corporate Legal Counsel Workshop of the Shanghai Federation of Industry and Commerce and the Corporate Counsel Alliance, was successfully held in the Shanghai Federation of Industry and Commerce Tower. Watson & Band’s Managing Partner, Frank Qian, was the lecturer for the training. The training attracted about 50 trainees from various industries including education, hotel services, healthcare and high-tech. Mr. Qian shared his thoughts on the current situation where rapid development of sharing economy coexists with bubbles and predicaments, as well as on the compliance issues that the enterprises must note under the sharing economy business models.

During the training Mr. Qian provided an in-depth analysis into the current situations and predicaments of the sharing economy enterprises, the core legal structures of several common sharing economy business models, and the compliance issues that enterprises must note in those sharing economy business models. He also provided vivid descriptions, explanations and analysis on the issues in the face of sharing economy enterprises, for example, business operation qualifications, funds management, use of and protection for data and personal information, protection for intellectual property rights, and protection for consumers’ rights and interests.
After the training, Mr. Qian communicated with and answered questions from the trainees. The lecture was well received among the trainees.
