W&B Lawyers Invited to 2015 SMG Annual In-House Counsel Training

As legal counsel for SMG entities, W&B has been providing legal services to multiple units including Dragon TV, Channel Young, New Entertainment and Oriental Cable Networks, to name just a few. On December 9, 2015 W&B lawyers Xiaosu Zhu and Yun Lou were invited to the annual in-house counsel training hosted by SMG’s Legal Department.

In an introduction to W&B, partner Xiaosu Zhu noted that the firm currently has over 200 professionals and is dedicated to providing prompt, efficient, comprehensive and quality legal services to its clients. W&B upholds its service motto “integrity, strategy, dedication and dedication”, and always treats its clients’ interests and demands as its ultimate goal. The W&B Culture and Media Legal Services Team is a dedicated group of lawyers, led by senior lawyers, that specializes in related areas. The team has offered services to a good number of domestic and overseas cultural projects and has gained extensive experience thereby. In the training, Mr. Zhu answered questions from a professional prospective and offered suggestions regarding issues that frequently arise during the daily operations of SMG subsidiaries, such as the protection of program formats.

After the training, SMG scheduled a separate consulting session for its subsidiaries. W&B answered questions from the Shanghai Dramatic Arts Center, the Shanghai People's Broadcasting Station and other entities, and proposed practical recommendations on their legal problems. In recent years, W&B has been focusing on legal services related to the cultural and media industries.
