On the morning of May 11th, the Inaugural Meeting of GAC’s (Gems and Jewelry Trade Association of China) IP Service Committee was held at the Shanghai World EXPO Exhibition and Convention Center. Watson & Band’s Senior Founding Partner, Mr. Shenmin Xu, was invited to attend the meeting and engaged as a member of the Committee. The Certificate was granted at the meeting.

GAC is a social legal entity approved by the State Government to represent China’s gems and jewelry industry. Subordinate to the Ministry of Land and Resources, GAC serves as a link between the Government and the public institutions and practitioners within the gems and jewelry industry. GAC inaugurates the IP Service Committee for the purposes of intensive implementation of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council’s decision and deployment on strict protection for IP rights, implementation of the strategy of an IP super power, expedited establishment of a fast cooperative protection mechanism within the gems and jewelry industry, and ultimately adjustment, conversion and upgrade of the industry’s structure.
