Watson & Band Invited to the Trademark Work Research Symposium of the CNIPA's Trademark Office
On the afternoon of February 21, the trademark work research symposium of the CNIPA’s Trademark Office was successfully hosted at Oriental Meigu Group in Shanghai. Director of the CNIPA’s Trademark Office, Mr. Shoudong Cui, along with other heads of the Trademark Office, Chairman and heads of the Shanghai Trademark Examination Cooperation Center, and Deputy Director and heads of Shanghai Fengxian District, were present at the symposium. Also, a dozen representatives from enterprises and IP agencies were invited to the symposium. Watson & Band was honored to be one of the invited guests.

During the research project, the CNIPA’s Trademark Office inspected the Oriental Meigu Park, elaborated on the significance of the research and carried out the relevant activities. At the symposium, the Trademark Office listened to the opinions and suggestions from the enterprise representatives that touched on the crackdown on malicious trademark registrations, the geographic indication marks and the building of regional public brands. Taking notes of these opinions and suggestions, the Trademark Office encouraged more voice from the enterprises and IP agencies and hoped to push forward the trademark facilitation reform. Watson & Band’s representative expressed our recognition and support for the reform for the benefits of both clients and IP agencies. In future, Watson & Band will, as always, adhere to our philosophy of “Integrity, Strategy, Professionalism and Dedication” and contribute our strengths to safeguard the healthy development of the trademark service industry in China’s continuously improving environment for IP rights.
