On November 7, 2015 W&B Managing Partner George Fu attended a seminar with his colleagues entitled Shanghai Advances Construction of Global Scientific Innovation Center and Enhances Level of IP Rights. The seminar was timed to coincide with the 20^th anniversary of the Fudan University IP Rights Research Center (hereinafter, the “Research Center”).

At the seminar, Mr. Fu was offered an appointment to serve as the next Guest Researcher for the Research Center. Consequently, he delivered a speech on behalf of Research Center membership during the academic seminar session. Mr. Fu also wrote an academic paper on a topic covered by the seminar, which the Research Center will publish in a collection after the seminar.

The Research Center is the first university IP rights research institute in Shanghai, and one of the first higher education IP rights research institutes in all of China. It aims to liaison extensively with IP rights circles, primarily in Shanghai, and promote research that combines IP rights theory and practice based on Fudan University’s advantages in arts and sciences.
